I teach you how and where to find good reference for writing your copy and guide you step-by-step in making the listing. This creating a listing skillset is an ideal competence to help you if you are a graphic designer, illustrator or surface pattern designer on a crusade to add to your monthly income streams. Many nuggets of wisdom about the biz in general will be peppered throughout.

    This Make and Sell Brush Sets using Procreate class is suitable for designers with some knowledge of Procreate brush making who want to learn additional techniques to take it to the next level: selling brush sets. Many basic skills are reinforced throughout the process. My end-game with the classes I teach is to help you build a sustainable business with diversified methods of doing so. For this class, you will need the Procreate software, or similar programs which offer the same capabilities. I use Photoshop for part of the class, but I do explain how you can complete all screenshots in Procreate.

    • how to plan the screenshots you need and where to look for reference
    • how to create each of the screenshots and what to include
    • how to add enticing details and labels on your screenshots
    • how to write dynamic descriptions and upload and create your listings (in detail)

    If you’re an aspiring pattern designer with a good basic knowledge of Procreate, you’ll be able to go through all the steps. This class will benefit anyone who wishes to introduce new income streams into their business. This is an ideal class for you, even if you are not sure what you will use the brushes for initially! Learning new workflows is always desirable. I guarantee you will create something really appealing and saleable, and it’s so much fun,once you get the hang of it!

    Intro for Procreate Brushes to Make and Sell

    This short intro will give you an overview of the class.

    Lesson 1: Discussing the Overview and Objectives

    In this lesson, I will show you the objectives for class and explain the merits of the technique I use. I walk you through the beginning of planning. I show you examples of all the screenshots I plan to use for my listing.

    Lesson 2: Brush Loading and Creating Your Own

    In this lesson, I will break down the complete process of creating your own custom brushes. I show you how to add your logo to the brush. I show you everything from creating the source file, to importing it into Procreate, and finally, adjusting settings. Knowing how to adjust brushes is very important in Procreate.

    Lesson 3: Show Off Your Brushes

    In this lesson, I will explain the settings and sizing of the brushes. I will show you some of the key techniques I use for showing my brushes in their best light and explain every step of the way. By the end of the lesson, you will have the beginnings of a lovely layout with plenty of interest.

    Lesson 4: Gathering Your Relevant Content

    This is the lesson in which I explain the importance of the screenshots and review with you other content you will need to make this into a good Creative Market listing. We look at examples and I explain the mockup I purchased in detail.

    Lesson 5: Finalizing Your Screenshots

    In this lesson, we review all the screenshots and I explain the use of the flat lay mockup scene creator. I show you the replacement of images on the mockups, and a few other tidbits that should help you with creating screenshots of your own. I also save out the chart I created for the customer package as a PDF. By the end of the lesson, we have over 10 screenshots prepared for the Creative Market listing.

    Lesson 6: Finishing Touches and Listing

    At this stage, I show you how to make all screenshots consistent in size using a custom action to speed up the process. We can use this action to automate the batch so all of the screenshots are resized consistently. We then finalize the listing by populating all of the details in the listing with info we cut and paste from a master document.

    Lesson 7: Conclusion and Next Steps

    We will conclude everything in this lesson. I show you a couple of quick mock-ups with the pattern and we end with a chat about next steps.
