In this course we will investigate the wide array of disciplines (architecture, vfx, animation, game design, interaction design, character design) and look at different approaches to creating content including shortcuts to achieve a more lifelike experience with less effort.

Syllabus
  • Session 1: Illustrator Basics
This session covers the basic layout of Illustrator, differences in later versions of Illustrator, and the overall capabilities of Illustrator. We’ll also explore the use of layers and guides to create complex compositions and organize our workflow. Session 3: Text, Path Editing, And Curves
This session covers the use of text and how to use Illustrator paths, the fundamental building block to an Illustrator graphic. We’ll see how to define complex paths such as bezier curves as well as how to use the pen tool for editing them. Session 4: 3D, Blurs, And Gradients
