Overview
  • Discover the benefits of the GRASP Best Practice Advice and Exercise Programme

Rotator cuff related shoulder pain is a common condition that causes impaired function. Regular exercise and advice play a crucial role in improving and managing pain and the ability to perform day-to-day activities.

This two-week course for health professionals will introduce you to the GRASP (Getting it Right Addressing Shoulder Pain) Best Practice Advice and Exercise Programme to help improve treatment in your clinical practice.

The GRASP trial conducted by the Centre for Rehabilitation Research at the University of Oxford showed that a single GRASP best practice and advice session with a physiotherapist was likely to be cost-effective and is not significantly different in terms of clinical outcomes when compared with physiotherapy intervention of up to six face-to-face sessions.

Learn how to deliver the GRASP programme for patient rehabilitation

The experts at the Centre for Rehabilitation Research will guide you through the GRASP programme.

At the end of the course, you’ll have the ability to administer the programme and minimise your patients’ pain through advice and exercise.

Explore behavioural support strategies for managing shoulder pain

You’ll explore self-management advice and behaviour-change strategies to empower your patients with the tools to cope with the mental side effects of their pain and to help them exercise regularly.

Learn from the experts at The University of Oxford

You’ll learn from a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, clinical academics, trial staff, and CBT practitioners.

With the expertise of these medical professionals, you’ll be empowered to implement the GRASP programme in your own practice to improve the lives of your patients.

This course is designed for physiotherapists who treat patients with shoulder pain.
