The course “Study of Urdu Novel and Urdu Short Story” is a Discipline Specific Course in B.A Urdu (Hons) as per UGC CBCS Curriculum. The course is specially designed to supplement and enhance the understanding of students about different dimensions of Urdu fiction especially Novel and Short Story. The course is designed to make the students understand basic features of novel and short story and help them to develop the art of critical appreciation of the two important genres of Urdu fiction viz. Novel and Short Story. This course provides an in depth knowledge of the two genres covering their form, art and the stages of Development. Prescribed novels and short stories are also critically evaluated.
