This course will give valuable information about various health and recreational matters covering topics like health and health education, dimensions of health, determinants of health, aims, objectives and scopes of health education and methods of communication in health education, communicable and non-communicable diseases, organizational and administrative set up of health and planning of health education programme. Other issues concerning environmental hygiene, importance of rest, sleep and exercise, housing, water supply, sewage, school health services and first aid and emergency care, Nutrition, classification of food, balanced diet, malnutrition and adulteration of food will also be taken up in the course.
