Overview
  • The course is developed to enable the undergraduate students to get a comprehensive understanding of the communication of environmental themes and issues. Being an interdisciplinary area, the course covers the essential elements of environmental studies and a detailed account of environmental communication. Though designed as an independent one, this course can also be taken as a supporting course to the University Grants Commission’s mandatory course titled Environmental Studies now stipulated at undergraduate level. This course offers sufficient understanding on a wide range of areas from public communication campaign to environmental communication skills required for print, audio, visual and digital communication media. In addition to this, the course covers nature and wildlife photography, public relations and corporate communication that are essential for movements and governmental and non-governmental agencies working for environmental awareness and protection.
