In this class you will receive a quick overview of encaustic painting through the ages, and then on to learning the basic tools and techniques.
Some of the things we will cover in this class:
- Making your own encaustic medium
- Colouring your medium with pigments and paints
- Choosing substrates to paint on
- Using different 'hot' tools to paint with
- Fusing your paint layers to build up depth
By the end of this class, you will have learned how paint using an ancient technique in a fun and modern way.
