    Through character illustration, you can reflect the world around you and the feelings it evokes in you. Illustrator Marcos Chin specializes in creating narrative illustrations based on his own experiences. He has worked on everything from advertising campaigns to sculptures, and collaborated with brands including ESPN and The New York Times.

    In this course, Marcos guides you through how to draw character-driven illustrations using your imagination. Create an image of one or more characters, and discover how to turn simple shapes into engaging illustrations full of personality. Designing characters comes from within, so don’t be afraid to put yourself in your art.

    This is Marcos’ second course with Domestika. In his first, Composition and Color for Creative Illustration, he teaches you how to visually interpret a written piece and turn it into a meaningful illustration.
